 At Nant-y-Bryniau, we believe that every young person deserves an education that encourages them to engage with learning, enables them to gain relevant skills and empowers them to reach their potential academically and personally in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. The young people that we support face significant challenges in their lives, some come direct from their mainstream school or college while others may have had challenging educational experiences and no longer attend. We aim to address barriers and tailor the educational experience so that it is individual, relevant, and sets our young people up to continue their studies, take up training opportunities, or join the workforce upon discharge.  

 

Personalisation and inclusion are at the heart of our provision; as a teaching team we champion the needs of the individual, working closely with other professionals within the service and in the young person’s home community. As part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, we feel that education provides opportunities that support recovery, build resilience, establish worthwhile next steps pathways and leave our young people more hopeful and skilled for a positive future.
